Hi, I'm Aranja!
I help deep thinkers, idealists and non-conformists deal with their unique challenges in this streamlined, normie world.
I haven't lived life on the straight and narrow either and that's probably a good thing. Despite my formal certifications I believe my most important qualifications are my life experience, my ability to see core issues quickly, my irreverent sense of humour and my interest in taboo topics. It's probably what got me into psychedelics.
As a kid I grew up internationally in some of the world's most disadvantaged regions before embarking on a career in international development. In my youthful naiveté I wanted to help make the world a better place. In fact, I still do. A decade later I quit the development field in order to work more independently and creatively and started a small business centred around kink and body-positivity... only to realize I had no interest in spending my working life selling "stuff". During that time I explored the intersection of psychedelics, trauma and healing for more than ten years, initially in a private capacity, and later more professionally. I became a death doula, volunteered in psychedelic crisis support, obtained my coaching certification and trained in somatic emotional trauma integration.
As a trauma therapist, systemic coach and psychological counsellor, I now specialise in supporting people who live outside of the norm and/or feel somehow different or left behind. Maybe you can relate.
I work with artists, deep thinkers, activists, philosophers, migrants, expats, nomads, TCK/As, people of mixed cultural heritage, kinksters, queer people, neurodivergent people, sex workers, dreamers, misfits, the black sheep of the family...and people living a seemingly “normal” life, who have a nagging sense that they're not being true to themselves.
Some topics I address with my clients in their psychedelic preparation and integration include burnout, career and purpose, relationships (incl. queer, poly and kinky), narcissistic abuse, grief, death and dying, BDSM, relocating to a different country, issues of belonging and identity, dealing with profound shame, and addressing stubborn issues that just don't seem to go away. I also make space to explore the big questions in life, relating to spirituality, philosophy, why are are here and the meaning of it all.
Life is a mix of the incredible and the banal and I'm here for all of it.
